The unique, historic "Tobacco Road Half-Marathon" course features over seven miles of the American Tobacco Trail (ATT) starting in Cary, North Carolina. The course is flat and fast with a downhill finish ideal for achieving your goals such as qualifying for the "Boston Marathon" or setting your personal record. The first and last 2.5 miles of the race is on paved roadways with the remainder on the American Tobacco Trail surface which is compacted crushed granite 'screen.' This surface is easy on runner's joints and combines with the average high temperature of North Carolina in March - 51 degrees Fahrenheit.
