Half Marathon race pace calculator in miles

This calculator will give you all the pace information you need to prepare for a half marathon. It allows you to compensate for the drop in pace most of us experience towards the end of a race. Then again, if you are really fit and confident, you can predict times based on negative splits. You can plan from the pace you expect to run, or from the overall time you are aiming at.

To calculate from your target pace:
1. Enter the pace you plan to run in minutes and seconds.
2. If applicable, enter the pace you expect to slow down to towards the end of the race. To get negative splits, enter the pace you expect to increase to rather than a slower pace.
3. Enter the distance to apply this fade from.
4. Click on "Calculate" to get a reading of: overall average mile pace regardless of fade, average mile pace before your fade mark, average mile pace after fade takes effect, splits for every mile, final time based on calculated splits.

To calculate from your target finish time:
1. Enter your target time in hours and minutes. The target time can also be entered just in minutes.
2. Enter the amount of fade. This is how much you expect to slow down and can be entered as seconds per mile, or as a percentage. To get negative splits, enter the amount of fade as a negative value by preceding it with a minus sign.
3. Select the type of calculation required.
4. Enter the distance to apply this fade from.
5. Click on "Calculate" to get a reading of: overall average mile pace regardless of fade, average mile pace before your fade mark, average mile pace after fade takes effect, splits for every mile, final time based on calculated splits.
